Congratulations Valley Gun Club South Africa!

11th Anniversary of e-Shoot

What a close call that was, with 735 points from Valley Gun Club in the Western Cape of South Africa securing the trophy for the fifth time in our eleven years of competition - congratulations to the team, J de Wet,T de Wet, R Douglas, Q Smit, J Voss and H Janse van Rensburg. Good to see the de Wet family still featuring in the winning team. The trophy is on its way.

One little point!

The winner from 2009, Mayland, couldn't have been any closer - one point down on 734. Billy Logan tells us that A Grader Chris Morris pulled a second barrel and lost one point on his last target. If both teams had tied on 735, then we would have brought in the sixth shooter, which in this case would have given the trophy to Mayland. The competition couldn't have been any closer - commiserations to Mayfield - please don't be too hard on Chris!

Only one club dropped out this year - we seem to have lost contact with Te Aroha New Zealand, which is regrettable as they were in the competition from the beginning.Thank you to the eleven clubs who completed e-Shoot - we are grateful for your support of our endeavours to promote our sport.

Congratulations to Dennis Hudson and Paul Crudgington of Mayland Gun Club, Essex, England for achieving membership of the "The 150 Club", which now has 42 members from Canada, England, South Africa, USA and Australia.

E-Shoot is not about winning, it is about taking part and promoting our sport - you are all champions and we thank you for being part of e-Shoot 2011. Nomination for 2012 is automatic for those who completed the event this year and open for the new entrants we hope will join us. Please encourage your neighbouring clubs to enter - the more the merrier. The entry form is here
