Decatur Gun Club, USA

Decatur is in the capital of Macon County, Illinois, and was named in honour of Stephen Decatur, a native of Maryland born in 1779, who is famous in naval annals.
Established in the 1820s, Decatur was little more than a hamlet until 1836 when work began on the Northern Cross and Central railroads, which intersect at Decatur. The town then developed rapidly. Industrial growth was propelled by the creation of Lake Decatur in the early 1900s.
The modern city of Decatur has a population of 83,000 covering an area of 42 square miles and is home to a number of major companies, including two of the world's largest agricultural processors. Millikin University is also located here.
There is a real sense of history in this diverse and friendly city, which exudes a Midwestern hometown charm.
Decatur Gun Club has 9 trap fields and 5 skeet fields and is located off Christmas Tree Road. The club is open all year round on Saturdays and Sundays from 9am to 3pm, and in summer also on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5 to 8pm.
