What was Aus-Shoot?
When Tony Roberts of the NSWCTA Committee asked Maryborough Q if an 'e-Shoot' could be run for Australia, Aus-Shoot was born in 2006. Run on similar lines to the international e-Shoot Maryborough had been running since 2001, the competition was conducted via e-mail and was open to all ACTA registered clubs in Australia. Each club shot the event at their own club as part of a regular ACTA club program and submitted their scores. Entry was free!

The Event.

50 target Points Score

The Team.
The team was one AA Grade, one A Grade, two B Grade and two C Grade shooters, with the top 5 scores to count. The possible was 750 points.

B Grade - 87% and under 94%
C Grade - Under 87%

The Trophy.
The Aus-Shoot Perpetual Trophy donated by Maryborough Clay Target Club went to the winning Australian club each year with a certificate recognising their success. They added their club badge and an engraved plate with year and team names and retained the trophy for a year before relinquishing the trophy to the winners the following year. The hand-over of the trophy was arranged to take place at the Nationals or a State Carnival to save high postage/freight costs. (This chunk of camphor laurel was no light-weight!) Each competitor with a perfect score received a personal certificate to mark their achievement and entered "The Aus-Shoot 150 Club'.

Ballandean won the trophy in 2007, 2010, 2011, 2012 -well done.
